  Philly based artist Dooley, with his own brand of heartfelt psychedelic pop, dropped an amazing EP in 2021. As soon as I heard Painting of a Bee I knew that I wanted to do a physical release through the RPR label. Citing influences of well known songwriters Jonathan Richman and Brian Wilson, and lesser known act Baddest Beams, these songs would also fit comfortably on a playlist alongside groups like The Cure, Felt, Sea Urchins, Still Corners, The Field Mice etc.
  
  The opening track Dooley feels like a curtain being raised. A dark stage sits there in front of you. You know that something special is about to happen. The shadows, the props, they are there but it's just too difficult to make out the what and the who. Then "What's the point" comes on and the veil is lifted. Following a snap, the opening line "What's the point in trying anymore when every single words' already said?".
